Use of autocotone and xerophilous plants for the reduction of the water consumptions. huge lemon tree, corylus, cedars, pines, etc. Provence cypruses are dotted round the garden and contribute, with the palms and other plants, often very perfumed, to give the garden a mediterranean character. Decorative grasses and numerous plants with grey leaves, adapted to dry soil, are mixed with more than 700 roses, ancient and modern, mainly climbers, over 460 different varieties.
