Cividate Camuno, Valle Camonica – 2014

Giardino pensile realizzato al di sopra dell’autorimessa. Disegno lineare, forme squadrate e materiali tradizionali per una reinterpretazione in chiave contemporanea di un’abitazione storica recentemente ristrutturata. Il giardino è uno spazio unitario e coerente, fatto di piante, arredi e pietra, elementi semplici che si ripetono per creare un’ambiente armonioso e rilassante. La grande area pavimentata centrale in pietra di luserna, è predisposta per accogliere un salotto, un’area pranzo all’aperto e un pergolato ombreggiante. Da qui partono due percorsi in piastre della stessa pietra che portano all’area barbecue, a destra, e alla terrazza a sinistra. Ciotoli bianchi delimitano i camminamenti e fanno da contrasto al verde del prato e ai grandi vasi in terracotta, utilizzati sia come elemento estetico che come barriera di protezione. Nelle aiuole vicine all’abitazione e ai percorsi, come pacciamante, è stato usato un granulato verde alpi, per creare maggiore continuità tra aree pavimentate e verde. Camelia sasanqua, Photinia e Osmanthus si alternano lungo la siepe perimetrale, evitando la monotonia della monospecie ma mantenendo la continuità visiva. Le uniche due alberature presenti, Punica granatum e Olea europea, sono state scelte per il loro aspetto scultoreo e il loro interesse in ogni stagione. Essendo un giardino pensile con uno spessore di terra ridotto, si sono realizzare due vasche rialzate che hanno permesso la piantumazione dei due esemplari e ne hanno enfatizzato, al tempo stesso, il loro aspetto scenografico.

| Roof garden built over the garage. Linear design, square shapes and traditional materials for a contemporary reinterpretation of an historic house that has been recently restored.The garden is a coherent and uniform space, made of plants, furniture and stone, simple elements that are repeated to create an harmonious and relaxing ambience. The large central flooring, by Luserna stones, is designed for an outdoor dining area and a shade structure. From here, two phats of the same stone slab lead to the barbecue on the right, and to the terrace on the left. White pebbles surround the paths and create a color contrast to to the green of the lawn and the large terracotta pots. The vases are used both as an aesthetic element and a protective barrier. In the flower beds near the house and paths, as mulching, has been used a ‘green alps’ gravel, to create continuity between paved areas and green. Camellia sasanqua, Photinia and Osmanthus alternate along the fence perimeter, avoiding the monotony of just one type of shrubs but maintaining visual continuity. The only two trees are Punica granatum and Olea europea, the have been chosen for their sculptural look in every season. Being a roof garden with a reduced depth, it was necessary to realize two tanks that allowed the planting and emphasized, at the same time, the plants shape.
